Broken a strap on your Rene Cavovilla's? Need to stretch your Jimmy Choo's? Or need to re-sole, re-heal, stitch, repair anything from your Church's to your latest Zara find? Yes? Then pedal round to Alvisi as fast as your bike will carry you.

No job is too big or too small for this artisinal workshop conveniently placed a few doors down from Marotin (so you can get a quick coffee and pastry in after your bike ride). Alvisi is definitely one of the best cobblers in Milan and is used by most of the shoe shops in the Quadrilatero to carry out repairs. Alvisi has also completely re-built several old pairs of our Church's and rendered them as good as new. Ask for an estimate beforehand, however, as re-soling is not cheap but if it adds an extra 10 years to a pair of classic shoes it's cheaper than buying a new pair. Alvisi re-soles Tricker's, John Lobb's and Church's with original soles, whether they are rubber or leather, allowing you to choose between studded, golfer or commando soles. The choices are endless.

Alvisi also stocks a wide range of shoe polishes, creams, brushes, shoe trees and shoe kits which make great presents. If you need any advice regarding shoe care and cleaning all you have to do is ask and the staff are happy to advise you.
