On Sunday 28 September the "Mercatone dell'Antiquariato" - the Milanese Antiques fair is back. Held on the last Sunday of every month along the banks of Naviglio Grande's canal, the Mercatone dell'Antiquariato is one of Milan's biggest and probably most famous markets. Here you can find stalls ladened with antiques and vintage pieces such as: furniture, clocks, silver, porcelain, prints, books, comics, fur coats and much more.
During the day all of the shops, galleries, bars and restaurants in the area are also open giving the neighbourhood a pleasant and bustling vibe. Take the opportunity to visit the historic "Vicolo dei Lavandai" (Washerwoman's Lane) and the attractive courtyards.
Please note that for the next few months part of the market will be held near Via Vigevano due to the regeneration of the Naviglio area. For more information please visit www.mercatonedellantiquariato.mi.it
