Set in an estate of 144 hectares it has beautfiful views of the surrounding countryside and Palazzo Arzaga's two golf courses (18 holes and 9 holes) designed by Jack Nicklaus II and Gary Player together with Arzaga Golf Academy. The interior is classic but in keeping with the villa boasting original frescoes, wood-beamed ceilings and antique furniture. Guests can dine in the hotel's restaurant "Moretto" which offers classic Italian cuisine with a modern twist. During the warmer months dinner is served on the huge terrace overlooking the golf course, while in the colder months guests can dine under the villa's vaulted ceilings. During the day guests can lunch at the Club House which offers a wide selection of hot and cold dishes. Palazzo Arzaga also has a wine bar as well as a cozy lounge bar with a spectacular fireplace.
During our stay we visited the beautiful town of Sirmione located at the end of a peninsula in the middle of Lake Garda. Sirmione is famous for its healing waters and spa ,but is also a beautiful little town teaming with boutiques and cafes. Sirmione is also home to "Le Grotte di Catullo" an ancient Roman villa built in 1 B.C. To get there we took a 18 minute boat ride from Desenzano del Garda located 14km from Palazzo Arzaga.
